Tulsa Metro Yard Sales is an easy site to use.  To begin, click on the "ready to sell your items-Register Today" button on the left side of your screen.  Pick a user name and password.  Next, the "my account" page will appear on the screen.  From this page you can manage your account.  The "my account" page shows your purchased packages, free listings, individual listings and posted yard sales. 

 

How to:

If you need more than the 10 free listings, you can add a package to your account at anytime by clicking the brown "purchase a package today" button.  Tulsa Metro Yard Sales offers 1, 2, 3, 6 and 12 month packages.  After viewing the package descriptions, click the brown "purchase your package today" button in the center of the screen.  Select the package that best suits your selling needs.  You will now see the package you have selected and the total of your purchase.  Click the "checkout" button.  Fill in the required fields on the "billing information" page and place your order.  A receipt page will appear.  On the bottom, or top of that page press the "click here to begin listing your items" button.  This will take you back to your account.  Your package will be here.  You are now ready to start posting your items.

 

To list an item, click the "post an item" button in your purchased packages.  Next, select the category that best describes your item and then press the "click here to continue editing your item" button.  Provide a title, description, price, check your email, and up to 3 pictures.  When you have completed this page, hit the "update item" button and your listing will be seen by thousands!  Buyers can find your item by category, community, or by conducting an item search.  You can post as many items as you like until your package expires.  To post your next item, click the "post an item" button and repeat this process again. 

 

Sellers are offered ten free listings.  The free listings are found on the "my account" page.  These listings will contain an item description, one picture and contact information.  To post a free listing, just click the post an item button and then fill in the required fields.  Also, for your item to be viewed in the community search, you will need to "update account information" on your account page.  To maintain a clean site, free listings will be removed after 2 months.   

 

After you have posted your items, they will appear under "listings" on your account page.  You can always change the category, price, or any other item information by clicking the "edit item" button next to each listing.  When an item has sold, please remember to "hide" that item.  To do this, simply click the "edit item button"  next to the item you have sold. The category page appears.  Then  press"click here to finish editing your item"  to get to the description page.  About halfway down, you will see "uncheck when item has sold". Click on small box to remove check mark.  When you click the "update" button on the bottom of the page, the item will be hidden on the site.  If the sale of your item falls through, you can always check the box again to have the listing reappear on the site.

 

post a yard sale   

There are two ways to post a yard sale.  One, from your account page just click the "list yard sale" button found at the top of the screen.  Or, if you are logged in, you can just click the "post a yard sale" button found on the homepage.  It is located towards the bottom of the screen, by the little green car.  After you have made this selection, just fill out the required fields and submit.  If you need to make any changes to the details of your sale, just click the "edit item" button next to your yard sale found under "listed yard sales" in "my account".
